Free agent contracts are based on the salary structure as well and it breaks down to this -
At the conclusion of each yr you are allowed to only resign 5 of your own players who are Free Agents.
The structure to resign Free Agents will be as follows:
A sheet will be distributed via Google spreadsheets that the league will use as its reference when it comes to resigning your own free agents. There will be a separate list for offensive players and a separate list for defensive players. Each GM in UFDL may use this to set up who they want to resign and how many years you wish to give to each player. You may submit your list early in the correct format if you so choose at this link: ufdl.proboards61.com/index.cgi?board=rfa&action=display&thread=571
Note to the above paragraph: You may resign your waived players or bench players who were on 1 year deals for $1 if they do not appear in the list links below this statement. They still count towards to your five player limit. You may not resign your bought out players.

Defensive Players Link: spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=p0oGgJHW2NOw86KUGApFARQ&hl=en
* Remember you will have 1 week to post on the forum site in the correct board the players you wish to resign at what price and the years you choose for each player. After the deadline has passed, your other FA's will be dropped into the FA pool for bidding for the entire league a few weeks later.
** You may not resign players that you have bought out as you are already on the hook for half of their remaining salary as it already. Other teams may sign these bought out players when Free Agency opens in mid-June.
*** When re-signing you players you are allowed to assign them any length of contract up to 5 yrs that you desire.
